| 夜捕飛魚 |
蘭嶼現今仍使用拼板舟捕飛魚的人已經很少，這種既費力又慢的傳統拼板舟已經被現代化機動船給取代。
少數仍會划著自己建造的拼板舟出海的，大都是年紀可以當爺爺的人。
他們要出海時，必須將船從灘頭推到海上；返航時，也要將船從海上重新推回灘頭上。
船都是超過百公斤的重量，你可以想像自己的爺爺一人推船入出海。
而雖然招魚祭結束已經將近一個月，但目前仍然是飛魚季初期，魚獲還沒到高峰，這時還是晚上捕飛魚的季節。
鍾大哥下完一次網後，捕到一些飛魚，便開始以飛魚為餌釣魚，沒多久就釣到兩條。他本想繼續釣第三條，但是想到有人在岸上等，就回航了。
我當時在灘頭邊看書邊等他，看到其他一起出去的拼板舟都已經回來，但是他的船還沒出現，
心想只有兩種可能：
一是相機掉到海裡了，他正在想辦法撈相機....
二是今天收獲不錯，所以就在海上待比較久(當捕魚收穫不錯時，等早上時才返航都有可能)。
終於看到他白色的船身出現在黑暗中，一起幫他把船推上岸放好後，他拿起保力達B，咕嚕咕嚕的仰頭一口喝完，幫自己疲憊的身體灌入一些活力。
原來喝保力達B也有這麼帥氣的時候。
Nowadays, very few people in Lanyu would choose traditional canoes
to fish. The traditional canoes, which are very effort-consuming and slow, are
replaced by motor-driven canoes.
Those who still choose traditional canoes to fish are old enough to
be grandfathers. When they are about to sail, those grandpas need to push the
canoes from the beach to the sea; when they return, they need to push the
canoes from the sea to the beach. The weight of a canoe is over 100kg; it’s
hard to imagine a grandpa push a canoe by himself.
Although the ceremony of summoning flying fish was held last month,
now is still the flying fish season. The peak of flying fish season has not
arrived yet, people still fish at night.
After uncle Zhong threw the cast net, he got some flying fish. Then,
he used them as fishing baits, and he got two more in no time. He was thinking
to get the third one, but he gave up as someone was waiting for him ashore.
I was reading and waiting for him; I came up two possibilities of the
absence of his canoe since other people and their canoes had returned from the
sea. One, his camera slipped, and he was trying to fish the camera. Two, he got
a big load of fish, so he stayed longer on the sea (it’s possible to stay until
morning if the fishing is good).
Finally, I saw his white canoe in the dark. After I helped push and
settle his canoe, he grabbed a bottle of Paolyta-B (similar to Red Bull but
with alcohol) and drank it up to fuel himself up.
Suddenly I realized…how charming and handsome a man is when he drank
up Paolyta-B!
