招魚祭是蘭嶼飛魚季的開始，每年由紅頭部落率先舉行，之後其他部落會在各自的攤頭上舉行。在蘭嶼，傳統文化迅速凋零，朗島部落是仍保留最多傳統的部落之一，

那天達卡安要出海捕飛魚，問我要不要一同去，我當然是開心地答應。跳上他那綠色小機動船，一駛出開元港，就看到船邊有數條尖嘴魚游動著，心想今晚應該是豐收的一次出航。

老海人與魚

一位老海人夜晚出海捕飛魚時，釣了四條大魚回來。
大概是太累所以打算天明時再來殺魚，但傳統上不能將未處理的魚帶進家門。
將魚放在外面擔心被人偷、或者動物來咬，
因此他就與魚兒們一同睡在自家門口前。

出航 voyage

漁夫將拼板舟推至海邊，等待適當的浪潮，再將船推進海中。

目前飛魚季已經進入小船可出海的時候(在飛魚季剛開始時，只能大船去抓飛魚)。
他們看海浪與風向決定晚上適不適合出海，但下雨的天氣無妨。
網到飛魚後，有的人會用飛魚當餌，在海上釣大魚。
牛港鰺(浪人鰺)、鮪魚、梭魚等....
這晚即有人釣到一尾7、80公分長的梭魚。

Fisherman pushed the canoe to the seashore, waited for the suitable wave, and then pushed the canoe into the sea.

Currently at this point of flying fish season, it is ideal to sail a canoe to catch fish. (At the beginning of this season, a bigger boat is required to fish.)

The fisherman would depend on the wave and wind direction to decide if it is appropriate to sail tonight. However, it doesn’t matter if it is a rainy day.

When flying fish was trapped in the net, some might use them as baits to catch big fish such as Giant trevally, tuna, barracuda…etc..

This night, someone got a barracuda with the length of 70 to 80 cm.

不速之客 An unexpected guest

今晚的夜捕飛魚，因為一隻不速之客闖入而讓鍾馬浪提早返航。
一條一米長餘的鯊魚，讓他的魚網破了好幾個大洞，而鯊魚也沒什麼經濟價值，讓他有些不開心。

不安穩的一夜

那晚我帶著飲料去拜訪地下屋的主人。
而那一夜，正是台灣極為不平靜的夜晚。一群學生衝入行政院，情勢緊張又不明，牽動著許多人的心。
