朗島江家拼板舟 The Jiang family’s canoe in Lang-Dao

在朗島部落，這艘江家的拼板舟，於飛魚季期間會擺在攤頭最右邊(靠東邊)，
沒有其他的小船會超過它。

這是因為江家是第一個移居到朗島的家族，因此在每年朗島的小船祭開始時，
其他小船也會等江家的拼板舟開始推到灘頭上後，才跟著推船。

身為領頭的家族，雖然沒擁有什麼實質權力，但由於自己家族身份關係，
因此江家人在於傳統習俗也就更加遵守(例如飛魚季期時，不可抓底棲魚、拿魚槍、飛魚料理方式...等)。
因為若他們也不管那些傳統習俗時，就等於宣告眾人一樣不必遵守了。

In Lang-Dao tribe, this canoe belonging to the Jiang family would be placed at the rightmost (closest to the east) place during the flying fish season, and no other small canoes would exceed it.

That’s because the Jiang family is the first onemoving to Lang-Dao. Therefore, every year when theCanoe Festival begins, the other canoes would wait until the Jiangs’ canoe is pushed to the shore.

As the leading family, althoughthey don’t have any actual authorities, the Jiangs would follow the traditions strictly. For instance, during the flying fish season, they would strictly follow the rules of no catching benthic fish, no speargun, and the way of cooking flying fish…etc..

Because, if they don’t follow the traditions, it means the rest of family don’t need to anymore.
